This year, we launched a competition inviting local choirs to submit a song of their choice in preparation for Christmas.
We received an incredible response with 10 choirs participating in the competition.
Steven Davies, founder at YY FM Radio said
"I am thrilled at the response received to this competition, it is the first time that we have hosted a competition like this. I envisage this growing even bigger by next year. A thank you to all the choirs who have submitted an entry. By doing this, choirs are contributing to our service of providing music to in-patients at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr and to the local community around Ystrad Mynach and beyond"

Lovely to see that there are so many choirs in the local area keeping music alive in the Caerphilly County Borough. If you have enjoyed listening and love to sing why not join a choir yourself.
Bargoed Community Choir meets on Thursday 10am, in term time, at St Margaret’s Church Gilfach CF81 8NG. Everyone welcome to join this friendly bunch who love to sing. Wishing Bargoed Community Choir the best of luck.
